Chalk the Walk is a project of ours to raise
funds programs by involving the whole Mira
Mesa programs by involving the whole Mira
Mesa Community in a sidewalk chalk art
festival. The setting is an informal and
entertaining art festival as artists of all
ages and skill levels will create works of art
by drawing with pastels directly on the
sidewalk.
Funds are raised in the form of sponsors
(individuals, non-profit groups, local
businesses, local corporations, and major
institutions) who may purchase a sidewalk
square(s) or make a donation. Sponsors
may provide their own artists to chalk their
squares or may ask for a volunteer Mira
Mesa student to be their artist.
All grant applications will be reviewed and
awarded by The Board of Directors.
