What We Do - Storefront
Mira Mesa Women's Club

Every month we deliver a delicious, full course meal that appeals to all -
including those who are vegetarians. Our members volunteer to furnish
something for the meal.  Since there is no stove at the shelter, all hot
items need to be heated in the microwave.

This is a very rewarding
    project for us.  

  • One Easter we took hard
    boiled eggs for the teenagers
    to color.  We were surprised
    by their enthusiasm....many
    had never colored an Easter
    Egg.  
  • We have also given gift
    certificates for those muchly
    needed shoes!
  • Many of the teenagers are
    vegetarians.  Reason?  This is
    the one thing in their life that
    they can control.  Because of
    this, we always make certain
    our meals are 'balanced' for
    them.
