Be a Chalk The Walk Artist
Chalk The Walk invites everyone in the community to have fun chalking up
the sidewalks at the Mira Mesa Recreation Center. All students, want-to-be-
artists and professional artists are invited to participate in the art-filled
festival. The sidewalks at the park will be used to create works of art by
drawing with pastels directly on the sidewalk.
We hope you will be an artist this year. In exchange for your time and artistic
talents, you will receive chalk and an emailed digital photo of your artwork
(make certain your email address is legible on the Artist Form. Also, when you
are finished with your art, make certain that your sidewalk square number is

All participating artists must be sponsored by corporations, small business
owners, non-profit groups, families or individuals.
All artists must pre-register by completing and submitting the Artist Form. (It
may be sent along with your sponsor's form) We urge you to do this as soon
as possible. A series of Chalk TIPS and TRICKS will be emailed to all artists
who are registered by April 27th.
Instructions for participating in Chalk The Walk.
1. If you are sponsoring yourself, you need only to submit a completed Artist
Entry Form. Send the form and a check for $10.00, payable to Mira Mesa
Women's Club, to the address below.
2. If you are sponsored by your family or friend, complete the Artist Entry
Form and send the form along with a check for $10.00, payable to Mira Mesa
Women's Club, to the address below.
3. If you are sponsored by a business or organization, complete the Artist
Entry Form. It would be best to give the completed form to your sponsoring
business or organization and ask them to include the form with their Sponsor
Form.
Volunteer Artists: Some sponsors do not have their own artists and have
asked us to assign them an artist. If you do not have a sponsor but want to
volunteer to be the sponsor’s artist, tell us. Send us an email along with your
name, address, phone, email address. Upon receipt of this information, we will
match you with an available sponsor. You will be notified by email if we are
able to assign you to a sponsor.
